World History (1750 – Present)

The Xhosa Cattle-Killing Movement (Google Doc) – This is a content piece written with APWH standards in mind then divided into halves. I do it as a DYRWIR? Activity, which is a terrible name but a decent variation on the “jigsaw” approach I’ve never loved. Basic guidelines for what that might look like are included at the end of the document.

The Xhosa Cattle-Killing Movement (PDF) – Same as above.

The Ghost Dance Movement (PDF) – A staple of U.S. History, but also an “illustrative example” of “Indigenous Responses to State Expansion from 1750 to 1900” (if you’re into that sort of thing). This is just a content piece with questions – nothing exciting – but the article does make some effort to consider APWH standards in terms of how it presents the content.

World War I Stations Activity (Content – PDF) – For what it’s worth, this one is a bit Americentric because I created for my U.S. History classes. Still, I’ve used it in world history and found it beneficial there as well. Your call.

World War II Stations Activity (Content – Google Doc) – Probably still a little Americentric, but still hopefully useful in a world history context.
