I was unaware of this one, although I knew there were a half-dozen songs about Thursday in some form out there (most recently They Might Be Giants’ “I Lost Thursday” from their latest album “Book”) over the past 60+ years.

But I figure most right-wing ranting is built on half-truths and either a lack of research or an outright rejection of facts, so I went with quite a few statements that are either debatable or simply incorrect. I’m glad someone was paying attention enough to catch a few of them.

Now if we could just convince the GOP…

Love the piece, though it took me a moment … AND, I hate to mention it, but Country Joe and the Fish’s “Thursday” was released in 1967 on the album “Feel Like I’m Fixin’ To Die.” The track is an extraordinary piece of psychedelia, preceded by a commercial for LSD. Perhaps this was overlooked because it likely didn’t meet the Fox News standard of truth in advertising.
