					<description><![CDATA[&lt;strong&gt;I agree with this. I try hard&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I agree with this. I try hard to teach my students in a manner that works best for them. However, teaching 3rd grade, I can&#039;t help but worry about that reading test and hoping to the testing gods that they pass or meet one of the many exemptions so they don&#039;t get held back. It&#039;s ridiculous what they are doing to 8-9 year old children. ]]></description>

Other than teach students a few testing skills, such as working with writing prompts, I don&#039;t focus on any mandated tests. In fact, I work in guest speakers (you are invited anytime :) ), art project, and field trips and my students all passed the test. And we are a little school with not many electives or opportunities. If my kids can score okay without teaching to the test, all kids can.  ]]></description>
