I started like most, with all the idealism in the universe. . . That didn’t last long. I’ve been teaching five years, and I’ve been feeling the slow creep of burn-out approaching which makes me angry–the last thing I want to be is a statistic. I’ve changed jobs a few time, looking for a better fit (I’m a band director if you didn’t figure that out from the e-mail), but to no avail.

I love this. You are so right. We can even try to implement some of their tricks, but we will never get the same results. Kids, those little booger-filled rapscallions, they are GIANT daily variables.
