The first condition of
The first condition of Rapoport's Rules, which were brought to my attention by Daniel Dennett is:

You should attempt to re-express your target’s position so clearly, vividly, and fairly that your target says, “Thanks, I wish I’d thought of putting it that way."

This goes to the heart of your post, ensuring no matter what language is used by someone that you will be addressing what they really mean. Of course, if someone is responding to blog post and has devious intentions they can bastardize your words and use them in ways you didn't intend. I feel this intellectual dishonesty happens far to often and is a disservice to the public.

I really enjoyed this post!
