I show a powerpoint on study techniques & time management. Students aren’t honest about the time they spend “studying.” Parents don’t realize just how much of their “studying” is really tweeting, snap chatting, instagraming etc. At Back To School Night I tell parents to take their child’s phone away. They never do though. ( It worked like a charm with my own kiddos! )
